Maria-sama ga Miteru: Yumi

Maria-sama ga Miteru (The Virgin Mary is Watching) is an anime that was introduced to me by Moo. It's a sweet story centered around the lives of certain girls attending an all-girl Catholic high school. These girls participate in a kind of big sister/little sister system where the older students take younger ones as their "petite souers." There's a lot of symbolism, French and Catholic terminology thrown in that I won't get into, but I fell in love with the series really quickly and hoped to be a part of a "MariMite Army" (obvious the Easterlings were still on the brain LOL) at some point.

Yumi is a first year student at the beginning of the series and she's always doing really funny facial expressions whenever she gets embarassed or messes up. She's known as Rosa Chineses en bouton petite souer in the school. (See? Told you about that French stuff...)

Thankfully Moo, AJ, katnap007 and ZiggyB all helped out in constructing these uniforms that turned out to be a lot harder than originally anticipated. I have much respect for folks that construct pleated skirts by hand. Those things are NO joke!
